Hillsboro, OH – Christopher Barr Killed in Head-On Crash on OH-73
Hillsboro, OH (July 31, 2020) – A head-on collision in Hillsboro left one driver dead and the other with injuries. Authorities from the Ohio State Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Thursday morning, July 30. The site of the crash was reportedly located at the crossing of OH-73 and Pea Ridge Road.
Local sources revealed the accident took place at around 5:40 a.m. The crash reportedly involved a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The Chevrolet was reportedly traveling northwest on OH-73 when it left the center of the roadway and collided head-on with the Cadillac. Both drivers were transported to Highland District Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
27-year-old Christopher Barr, the driver of the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the medical facility by the Highland County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the Cadillac, identified as 30-year-old Brittani Hilterbran, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway. More details will be released as it continues.
