Thorn, OH – Nancy Bashore Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on Co Rd 30
Thorn, OH (January 28, 2021) – A 67-year-old Thornville woman was killed after being struck by a motor vehicle in Thorn Township on Tuesday morning, January 26.
Local sources revealed that the deadly pedestrian accident took place on County Road 30 at around 7 a.m. that morning. The pedestrian was reportedly crossing the roadway when she was struck by a Honda Civic driven by 57-year-old Nathan D. Smith of Pleasantville, Ohio. The pedestrian was later identified as Nancy E. Bashore of Thornville.
Bashore was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital for the treatment of critical injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The cause of the fatal accident has not been provided at this time.
Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
