Columbus, OH – One Dead After Head-On Collision on Courtright Rd

Columbus, OH (September 21, 2020) – One person was killed and two others injured following a two-vehicle collision in the Columbus area on Saturday morning, September 19. 

The accident occurred at the 1800 block of Courtright Road at around 3:10 a.m. that morning. Local authorities reported that a man was traveling south on Courtright Road north of Groves Road at the time of the accident. A woman was driving north on the roadway at the same time. 

Initial reports revealed that the man’s vehicle crossed the centerline of the roadway and collided head-on with the oncoming vehicle. The male driver and his passenger were taken to Mt. Carmel East for the treatment of sustained injuries. The passenger later succumbed to their injuries. 

The woman driving the other vehicle was taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. The identity of the deceased party has not been reported. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident.
