Mansfield, OH – Alyssa Pine, Hailey Thompson Killed in Crash on US-30
Mansfield, OH (July 1, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision in Mansfield left two people dead and three others injured on Tuesday, July 30. The collision occurred on US-30 at around 4 p.m. According to local sources, Hailey Thompson, 21, of Mount Gilead, Ohio crossed the centerline of the highway and collided head-on with another car driven by Alyssa Pine, 18, of Bloomville, Ohio.
According to reports from the Ohio Highway Patrol (OHP), both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Three other passengers in Pine’s vehicle, identified as Kale Herschler, 19, and Layne and Leah Vanderpool, both 18, were hospitalized for treatment after the accident. At this time, the cause of the collision is unknown.
OHP officials are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
