Williamsburg, OH (July 28, 2020) – A woman from Mt. Orab, Ohio was injured after she was struck while riding her bike. The accident reportedly occurred in the Williamsburg area on Wednesday evening, July 22. The site of the crash reportedly took place near the intersection of Eastwood Road and OH-32 (Appalachian Highway). The injured victim, identified as Stephanie Tibbe, was reportedly still recovering from the accident. 

Tibbe was reportedly riding her bike on Eastwood Road when she was struck from behind by a motor vehicle. According to local sources, the driver proceeded to flee the scene of the crash. The driver was reportedly traveling at 45 miles per hour at the time of the impact. Footage from the scene revealed that the vehicle involved in the accident was a silver sport-utility-vehicle. 

Following the accident, Tibbe was airflighted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for the treatment of severe injuries. Tibbe reportedly suffered a fractured spine in the crash, and reports from the scene revealed that she was knocked unconscious after striking the windshield of the vehicle. 

No further updates are currently available. Local law enforcement officials are seeking information on the identity of the driver involved in the crash. An ongoing investigation into the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
