Rollover Collisions in Ohio
Rollover accidents are extremely dangerous and are much more likely to result in fatal injuries than other types of collisions. In most cases, these crashes are the fault of driver error or inclement roadway conditions. Rollover accidents are thankfully rare, only accounting for nearly 2.1% of reported crashes in 2010. However, that same year, nearly 35% of deadly passenger-vehicle crashes involved rollovers, resulting in the deaths of 7,600 victims that year. Of those killed, nearly 69% were unrestrained at the time of impact.
In Ohio, other drivers owe a duty to use reasonable care when operating a motor vehicle. Unfortunately, many drivers in the state breach this duty and cause catastrophic car accidents. The resulting damages following a car accident can impact a victim’s life. The driver responsible for causing an Ohio car accident can be held accountable for any resulting injuries.
