Pedestrian Accidents in Ohio

Cincinnati, OH - Three Struck by Car at 5th St & Broadway StPedestrians are more likely to sustain serious injuries in the event of a crash. There were 5,977 pedestrians killed across the country in 2017. That is one pedestrian fatality occurring every 88 minutes on average. Statistics show that pedestrians are nearly 1.5 times more likely to be killed in a crash. There were 6,174 pedestrian crashes reported across Ohio from 2009 to 2018, contributing to 1,101 fatalities and 5,073 serious injuries.

Pedestrians are at a serious disadvantage when involved in a crash with a motor vehicle and are more likely to suffer from life-threatening injuries. Unlike those traveling in passenger cars, pedestrians have little protection from the full impact of an accident, and the resulting injuries can be life-changing. Drivers are required to yield the right of way and share the road with pedestrians. An Ohio pedestrian injury lawyer can help recover financial compensation for your injuries after being hit by a negligent driver.

Few people expect to be seriously injured in an Ohio pedestrian accident, but thousands of pedestrians are injured across the state each year and require help to pursue legal compensation for their damages. Many injured parties are unsure of how to seek compensation for their injuries after an accident. The legal team at the Green Law Firm is here to fight to ensure you receive the justice you deserve.
