Deadly Train Accidents in Ohio
Pedestrians are extremely vulnerable when involved in an ordinary collision, and a train can inflict catastrophic injuries in the event of a crash. The leading cause of roadway deaths nationwide is pedestrian railroad accidents. More than 7,200 pedestrians have been killed in train accidents in the United States since 1997, and more than 6,500 pedestrians have been injured during that time. On average, 500 pedestrians are killed in train collisions each year.
The preventable death of a loved one can be a shattering and entirely traumatic experience for surviving family members, and no amount of compensation can ever make up for the death of a loved one. Ohio wrongful death suits can be raised from careless acts, including a car crash, resulting in the death of a family member, in order to recover lost compensation for a representative of the deceased. Surviving family members should consult with an Ohio wrongful death lawyer who can help guide them through the process and construct a strong legal claim after the loss of a family member of a deadly accident.
