Columbia, OH – One Fatally Hit by Train at OH-82 & Hawke Rd

Columbia, OH (November 9, 2020) – A teenage boy was killed after being hit by a train in Columbia Township on Saturday afternoon, November 7. 

The site of the deadly accident was reportedly located near the intersection of OH-82 and Hawke Road. Authorities were called to the CSX railroad tracks at around 2 p.m. that afternoon. Initial reports revealed that a person had been hit by a train. 

When emergency responders arrived, they found the body of a 14-year-old boy lying on the tracks. At this time, the cause of the deadly accident has not been provided. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. 

No further information on the crash is available at this time. An ongoing investigation is underway.
