Deadly Semi-Truck Accidents in Hamilton County
There are millions of large commercial vehicles traveling across the United States each year, and these semi-trucks play a crucial role in the transportation of goods nationwide. In fact, nearly 63% of the goods transported across the country travel by truck. This means truckers are traveling thousands of miles on American roadways, often working long hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
In 2016, there were more than 125,000 large trucks and buses involved in collisions across the country, and these collisions contributed to nearly 180,000 people suffering injuries. More than 5,000 people were killed in trucking accidents nationwide in 2017. Those traveling in passenger vehicles are not equipped to withstand the impact of a large commercial vehicle, and pedestrians and motorcyclists are even more at risk of suffering life-threatening injuries in the event of a crash involving a large semi-truck.
