Cincinnati, OH – Jack Smith Killed in Hit-&-Run on Interstate 75
Cincinnati, OH (December 29, 2020) – A man was killed and two others were injured following a hit-and-run accident in the Cincinnati area on Saturday afternoon, December 26.
Local sources revealed that the collision occurred on Interstate 75 near mile marker 1.8. At around 12:15 p.m., a 31-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the roadway. Two witnesses stopped to assist the driver, one of whom was 64-year-old Jack Smith.
The woman driving the vehicle was reportedly trapped inside her vehicle as Smith and another man attempted to rescue her. At this time, the two men and the disabled vehicle were struck by a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Smith suffered from fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman and the other man both suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized. The driver of the Ford fled the scene of the accident.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.
