Logan Co, OH – Madilynne Long Injured in Rear-End Collision on US-68
Logan Co, OH (December 4, 2020) – There were multiple injuries reported following a two-vehicle collision in Logan County on Wednesday afternoon, December 2.
The accident took place on US-68 near LeVan’s Body Shop at around 3:25 p.m. According to local reports from the scene, 20-year-old Zach Heath of Bellefontaine was driving a 2017 Honda Civic northbound on the highway at the time of the accident. For unknown reasons, Heath rear-ended a 2014 Honda Accord driven by a West Liberty teenager.
The driver of the Accord was reportedly slowing down due to traffic ahead of them. Both the driver of the Accord and a passenger, 18-year-old Madilynne Long, were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Heath was also taken to the medical facility.
Heath was cited at the scene for failure to maintain clear distance. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.
Our thoughts are with Madilynne Long, Zach Heath, the other injured victim, and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
