Sandusky Co, OH – Mark Whaley Killed in Semi-Crash on US-20
Sandusky Co, OH (July 10, 2020) – A 50-year-old man and his seven-year-old grandson were killed in a semi-truck accident in Sandusky County on Wednesday, July 8. The collision occurred on US-20. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Mark Whaley of Bellevue, Ohio and his grandson were both killed after being rear-ended by an 18-wheeler.
Whaley had reportedly come to a stop at a red-light. The driver of the semi-truck, Mark Wagner, was unable to stop and collided with Whaley’s vehicle. Both vehicles ran off the road and collided with a utility pole.
Whaley and his grandson were both pronounced dead at the scene. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
