High-Speed Accidents in Ohio
Speeding is a predominant factor in deadly car accidents across the United States. Drivers who exceed the speed limit are at greater risk of being involved in a serious crash. Speeding impairs the driver’s ability to control their vehicle while increasing the distance needed to come to a full stop. Over the past twenty years, speeding has been involved in roughly one-third of deadly car crashes across the country. In 2018, there were 9,378 people killed in by speeding drivers, an average of 25 deaths per day. Nearly 26% of reported traffic fatalities that year involved high-speed collisions.
Ohio auto accidents can leave victims and their families with significant injuries and other financial damages, and these are often enough to completely disrupt a victim’s life. Big cities throughout the state have busy and congested roadways, which set the scene for a serious or life-threatening collision. These severe and fatal accidents can result in significant damages, including the cost of medical bills, lost income from being unable to return to work, or pain and suffering that lingers long after the crash.
