Batavia, OH – Jerry Fields Killed in Head-On Crash on OH-32
Batavia, OH (September 8, 2020) – A vehicle collision on Sunday, September 6, in Clermont County left one man dead and another critically injured.
According to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 1 a.m. near milepost seven on OH-32, near Batavia Township. Troopers reported that 49-year-old Jerry Fields of Harrison, Ohio was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla westbound on the highway when he was hit by a 2020 Kia Forte.
Mr. Fields sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. The driver of the Kia, 22-year-old Joshua T. Berger, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The factors contributing to the accident are not known at this time.
No further updates on the collision have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by the OHSP.
