Cincinnati, OH – Police Chase Ends in Injuries on Burnet Ave

Cincinnati, OH (August 28, 2020) – An employee for the Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle involved in high-speed pursuit with the police on Wednesday, August 26, near the intersection of Burnet Avenue and Albert Sabin Way. 

According to local sources, an unmarked patrol car attempted to stop a black Kia traveling southbound on Burnet Avenue. The Kia failed to stop, and a chase ensued. The vehicle sped away from the scene, ran multiple traffic signals, and collided with a green Ford Edge making a turn from Albert Sabin Way. 

The driver of the Kia reportedly ran a red light at the time of the crash. The driver of the Ford was identified as an employee at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital. The man was reportedly hospitalized in the intensive care unit brain bleed, a hematoma, contusion to his right kidney, and other sustained injuries. Two occupants of the pursued suspect’s vehicle were also hospitalized. 

No further updates are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
