18-Wheeler Crashes in Ohio

Collisions involving commercial trucks are more likely to result in life-threatening injuries. Nearly 5,000 people are killed annually in accidents with semi-trucks in the United States. The vast majority of those killed are the occupants of passenger cars. There were 22,490 trucking accidents reported across Ohio in 2015. That year, there were 181 fatal trucking accidents reported in the state.

Large semi-trucks can cause catastrophic injuries in the event of a collision with a passenger vehicle. Truck-driver inexperience is a leading cause of deadly commercial vehicle accidents as companies are trying to fill positions due to a shortage of drivers, and this negligence contributes to serious crashes involving 18-wheelers and commercial vehicles. When the negligence of another driver results in a crash, injured victims should consult with an Ohio trucking injury lawyer in order to recover lost compensation by pursuing an Ohio personal injury claim.
